The Cherry Blossom 5K Race for ALS is a great annual event in Niskayuna, NY. We ran in the race in year four and had a great time.
Until its 5th year, the race had never had its own website. We stepped up and designed one that will be able to be used year after year. We even donated hosting to the cause.
The 5K Race website is an Elegant Themes premium WordPress theme that renders appropriately on mobile devices. The site is optimized for search (SEO) has a countdown to the event (much loved by organizers), a gallery of past race pictures, links to social media assets, and integration with Constant Contact event registration. We also deployed Google Analytics to track visits and important WordPress security to the site.
We have also served in an advisory capacity with respect to race promotion and marketing as well as the seeking and guidance of sponsors to help promote the event.
We love the 5K Race for ALS and hope that each year brings more and more runners out for the cause!
