We recently completed a brand new website for the Center for Mediation & Training, the country’s leading divorce mediation entity. As some evidence of the Center’s decades of experience, it even has the domain divorcemediation.com.
Not having been updated for some time, the formerly PHP site was in need of a revamp. Chief among the solutions was to make sure the site was mobile friendly, which it had not been.
We deployed the Divi theme from Elegant Themes, an indigenously responsive design platform. As with all our sites, we seek a clean, uncluttered, handsome and easy-to-navigate design. User experience is paramount.
The Center offers regular trainings to individuals interested in becoming a divorce mediator. While the Center previously had relied on paper registration, we created an online registration process using the FormidablePro form plugin combined with PayPal. A much streamlined process. Center staff is alerted by text any time someone registers.
We also created a blog so that these noted divorce mediation professionals can continue to inform the public of current trends in the practice.
Because the site had been around for years, we had to make sure to include 301 redirects so that the many links to old website pages take people automatically to the new pages, and to not lose the search engine love earned over the years.
